Description
I am a Yogi is a short story about my fear of the headstand, and how two deaths helped me overcome that fear.
This is an honest account of my relationship with yoga, which was at first nothing more than a means to dealing with the stress that running put on my joints and limbs. One day in practice, I silently question my yoga instructor’s mantra as I cannot believe that I am a Yogi. The sudden loss of two friends is a wake-up call.
I hope that yoga teachers might share this with anyone whose nemesis is the headstand.
